About the Afrika Komitee

Aims, Topics, Contacts

1975 created as part of a solidarity movement against colonialism, racism and exploitation, the Africa Committee focused until now on the other Africa, at the dawn and hope.

The Africa Committee is concerned with the current political, economic, social and cultural developments in Africa. It directed his attention to the next level of the North-South relations and on the level of state power and the exercise of social development.

Solidarity work makes the Africa Committee today by taking up debate on these issues, making known problems and addressed the concerns of African partners. Important to the Africa Committee is not least the cultural exchange and visualization of the richness of African culture.

From the outside enters the Africa Committee on through events and regularly published Bulletin. In selected regions of Africa, we support grassroots projects classified material.

The work of the Africa Committee is supported by a few people. We can do this work only thanks to the support of numerous sympathizers. One form of support is the member of the Africa Committee. In membership fee of CHF 60 / EUR 35 annual subscription of Africa bulletin is included.

We are currently working on the translation of our website. Our Events are frequently held in English language. Please use the version in German until then and don’t hesitate to contact us for details and clarifications.
